In 1948, two young Hainanese entrepreneurs arrived in Kedah with a passion for coffee and a vision to build a better future. They founded Guan Tong Coffee Factory, a small roastery using charcoal roasting, hand grinders, and traditional craftsmanship.
What began as a humble local operation quickly grew in popularity, known for its bold aroma and authentic taste—becoming a familiar flavour that reminded many of home.
This strong heritage became the foundation of what is today the In-Joy Group, a modern beverage manufacturer offering both in-house brands and OEM solutions to partners locally and globally.
In-Joy Marketing (M) Sdn. Bhd. is a subsidiary of Guan Tong Industries Sdn. Bhd. (formerly Guan Tong Coffee Factory), a company established over 78 years ago in Malaysia.
In the early years, Guan Tong focused mainly on coffee powder and tea powder for the local market. In the 1980s, the company expanded into cordials and fruit juices, marking its diversification into broader beverage manufacturing.
In 1987, the marketing arm, In-Joy Marketing (M) Sdn. Bhd., was established to support further growth and brand development.
Today, the group has grown into a leading beverage manufacturer specializing in cordials, concentrated juices, bottled fruit juices, traditional coffee, and modern instant coffee products—serving both domestic and international markets.
